EBR 1190 RS Splitlath Racing Mark Miller IOMTT Bike - first bike to Barber
EBR Motorcycles factory race team, Splitlath Motorsports overtook EBR’s international Racing activities from summer 2015 on. Team principal John Dimbylow was focusing road racing on the Isle of Man and Macau, but also tried to establish new sales opportunities for the East Troy brand with racing activities in Asia. The bike is based on the 2013 EBR 1190 RS in full carbon race configuration with any available factory race features.

John Dimbylow: “All bikes are full factory race specification with all original parts fitted at the factory in East Troy by Chief mechanic Tony Pogue under the personal direction of Erik Buell himself, the engines were all built by Shane Myers to Erik’s specifications. All maintenance over the entire life of the bikes has been carried out by Tony Pogue alone, no one else has been allowed to touch the bikes”. US rider Mark Miller used this bike on the legendary Isle of Man in the Superbike TT and Senior TT in the years 2014, 2015 and 2016. Even if the 1190 RS’s technic struggled on the rough terrain of the mountain course, the competing of the EBR dragged a lot of attention for the brand. The last year, a good finish was lying in the air, but unfortunately the connection to the extra fuel tank was undersized, so it could not empty and the bike did not finish. It is in very good condition and comes with all IOMTT tech stickers on frame and fairing.
John Dimbylow: “Specifically race prepared for the Isle of Man TT in the Factory in East Troy. This bike has competed in 3 TT’s and was the first manufacturer in 80 years to actually complete a race at its first attempt, such are the demands placed upon the machinery, which you simple cannot test anywhere else, but whilst you race there. It has an auxilary fuel tank to cope with the demand of mile after mile with the throttle fully open at almost 200mph on public roads. Originally, the “dry break” feeder could not cope with the fuel demand, so the feed was enlarged. This bike, although basically a stock RS, entered in the Superbike Class, competing against the finest high tech machinery that the Japanese and German factories could muster. Each factory back at least 10 bikes each, such is the importance of this event to the manufacturers as it represents “real world” riding on ordinary roads. Even “Mr Honda” Senior, flys in from Japan to attend this event, the only race event he attends. Although in all the time we attended this event, we had many breakdowns, grit in a reed valve, a clutch retaining nut coming loose, and other silly little things which test machinery to the absolute maximum, things happening that simply do not occur at any race event anywhere else in the work. Mark achieved an 8th and a 15th place on the EBR, our little team from our little manufacturer with our limited resources up against the might of the world’s major manufacturers. We are very proud of Mark and of this bike”.

EBR 1190 RS Splitlath Racing Pan Delta Bike #93 - first prize of Raffle 1
EBR Motorcycles factory race team, Splitlath Motorsports overtook EBR’s international Racing activities from summer 2015 on. This bike was raced by Splitlath Motorsport from 2013 on at the Isle of Man TT, Macau and in China. It was raced there for the last time by Shelina Moreda who made it to the podium at the Chinese Pan Delta Superbike Meeting. It has since been kept in pristine and race-ready condition.

Shelina Moreda raced on that bike at the Chinese Pan Delta Superbike Meeting on the podium. The bike is in very good condition. John Dimbylow: “This bike was raced by America’s fastest woman Shelina Moreda. After winning pretty much everything that we had attempted in China, we thought it would be fun to break some more boundaries. A woman had never raced a superbike in China, so when we announced this, there was a media frenzy, and indeed, much opposition. We did a lot of testing before hand, getting Shelina used to the heat and the culture, food etc, but the experience was incredible. The Chinese people loved Shelina and as usual, Shelina was a “movie star”, greeting everyone with a smile, turning heads and she gained the respect of all of the male racers, in fact, it became quite a problem on times as there were so many autographs to sign and people to say “hi” to, we had to allow ourselves additional time to do anything and everything. The practice and the testing paid off, with Shelina achieving an incredible podium in front of 70,000 cheering fans and a live 450 million TV audience. We flew Sony’s top pop movie maker Truman Kewley out to make a video of the whole thing, amazing life experience”.
This is the first Bike you might actually take home, so make sure to get your package here!

EBR Factory WSBK ex Niccolò Canepa #59 A-Bike - second bike to Barber
The 2015 EBR 1190RX World Superbikes Italian rider Niccolò Canepa used with the EBR Factory Race Team. The Bike is in the race ready top condition as prepared by the team for the next upcoming round at Imola in May 2015, were EBR did not start anymore. Since then it got started once the year and oils / coolant changed. This peak of the developments Roadrace Twins are build at the factory in East Troy / Wisconsin by Erik Buell.

There were no efforts or costs spared to join the competition with the best on World Championship level and the bikes are still full equipped with the 2015 WSBK Öhlins suspension, Nissin ZTL 2.5 brakes and the complete Magneti Marelli engine management components with ECU, Cockpit, GPS and Data Recording. The building costs of each of the EBR 1190RX WSBK exceeded 250.000 USD each. Only 5 bikes ever got built by the factory. These bike mark as the last of the Road Racing V-Twins the end of an era, not only for Buell and EBR, where a bike on that level will never be produced, also in general as today the V4 has overtaken to compete with the Inline 4’s in World Superbike.

EBR 1190 RS Splitlath Racing Cory West Pan Delta Bike - #1 Prize of Raffle 2

All maintenance over the entire life of the bikes has been carried out by Tony Pogue alone, no one else has been allowed to touch the bikes”. This bike was raced by the Splitlath Team in the Chinese Superbike series where it won most races and is in very good condition.
John Dimbylow: “This bike was raced by EBR Factory Rider Cory West in the largest single motorcycle event in the World, the Chinese Pan Delta Superbike Festival. Many Westerners had attempted this and failed in the searing heat and volatile atmosphere, it really is hard to describe the conditions, but at his first attempt, Cory not only broke the lap record, he won both race 1 and 2 and brought the “art of slide” to in excess of 70,000 race goers per day, and to 450 million Chinese race fans on live TV. Cory earned the title of “Lao Shi” meaning “the teacher” from his fellow Chinese riders who were “wowed” by the way this guy from Arkansas took his bike into almost every corner sideways”.
